CASE Study: Critical Fluid Diagnostic System Assembly
A medical system manufacturer asked UPCOA to produce an extremely precise coupling component containing a chamber that joins a tiny 0.020-inch diameter capillary orifice with a 0.080 orifice. The intersections of the capillary openings and the chamber must be flashless coming out of the tool, with no secondary operations of any kind.
We created a unique tool and a proprietary, innovative heat transfer system to ensure that the silicone was able to cure fully at the critical internal intersections, eliminating the potential for flashing to form. Contact us for details.
