LIM/LSR compounds are low viscosity silicone elastomers, which are intended for use in injection molding machines. They offer lower viscosities than conventional silicone rubber and can be pumped and mixed in a static head mixer. Conventional silicone rubber requires high shear mixing. By eliminating this, LIM/LSR silicone elastomers save capital, energy, labor and floor space. LIM/LSR silicone rubbers are easily injected into a closed mold.
